Assuredex was established in June 2011, with the aim of assisting corporate South Africa to meaningfully report on their sustainability in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines – GRI3.1, the much acclaimed King III on corporate governance, as well as ISAE 3000. Through its association with Empowerdex (Pty) Ltd, Assuredex has identified a rapidly growing market wherein there are few service providers operating in this space. With sustainability reporting forming a critical component of an integrated report, it has become onerous on corporate citizens to be more transparent about their environmental issues – both good and bad.

Assuredex is a member of the Independent Board for Auditors (IRBA), which implies full accreditation to offer external assurance services on any subject matter. As such the quality of the firm’s services is underpinned by integrity and transparency.

The firm’s assurance methodology is such that Assuredex’s clients gain knowledge on the subject matter throughout the process, and that clients are as a result empowered to “do it for themselves”.

    o BBBEE scorecards (per the Codes) – in association with Empowerdex
    o Sustainability reports (per GRI’s G3.1 Guidelines, ISAE 3000 & King 3)

• Consulting on authorship of sustainability reporting.
• Workshops on preparing sustainability reports including: stakeholder identification, materiality testing for indicators.

Other Assurance
• Assuredex is registered with the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA), and is therefore certified to offer assurance services on all other reports. Our service offering currently excludes financial statements audits.
